That Girl

by Raychil   May 29, 2006

You see that girl over there
With her hood pulled over her head?
She sits there alone in silence
Her sleepless nights turn her eyes red

You see that girl in the classroom
She's rarely ever talks
She just keeps to herself and takes notes
She feels the others staring like hawks

You see that girl on the field
Or sometimes in the gym
She's always focused on her game
She won't accept anything but a win

You see that girl with her friends
She laughing and chatting away
She seems so happy with her life
Not afraid of what people will say

You see that girl in her room
She's crying again tonight
Her tears have flooded her pillow
She's tired of her endless fight

You see these girls all the time
When you pass me in the hall
But no one ever expects the girl
Who never seems to fall

You see the girl who feels only pain
The girl who stresses her grade
The girl who can't let herself lose
The girl who's smile doesn't fade

My personalities are many
But one will forever hide
Behind a fake smile I wear each day
To cover my dying inside...

Bravo, Again. This flowed smoothly without pause and I cannot even point out one bad thing. It was very well written, and the ending summed up the whole poem. I loved it!
