Blemish

by amor   May 29, 2006

Nothing to blame for this imperfection
a bleeding heart could never be known
this fault that made me turn bitter
to blast with cries too silent to hear

thorns of black rose and purple tears
save this life from dark enchantment
i lie by myself in the soft white covers
waiting for someone to uncover this seal

suffering from this dilution of water and fire
i flee to the next orbit to escape
but it keeps me spanning back to where I've become
to bury beneath the point of humiliation

defect of humanity, presence of a steel
hide me in the shadows of the darkest forest
to sleep in seclusion in the sweetest of nights
where no stars would fall over me

find me behind the darkness
and when i hear your call
this blemish may be forgotten....
