In the dead of the night
who is to say
nothing will happen
the night sky cloaking danger
who is to say
you are not the next
no one says anything
they see and witness
but they bring no justice
all those hiding in darkness
waiting to find their next victim
and who is to say it is not you
you walk the lonely nights
stalking the unexpected
yet you still stop
to hear the cries of wolves
howling to find one another
so, who is to say
you are not the one
that stalks the night
