Great poem by a great writer brilliantly written. Only critisism stanza 5 line 2 was a little stilted but excelent one of the best poets on this site imo.

Great flowing poem of historical perspective

Darien you truly are a historian. I reading "To the Last Man" by Jeff Shaara. It is about WWI and everything in your poem encompasses a great amount of this book. I can't wait to read your next historical poem.

WOW! I'm not that much into history cause I hear about it too much from my dad, Buuuut, This was awesome. The flow and rhyme scheme were spot on, and the meaning behind it, Well, It was about the war, So it's pretty meaningfull. Really good poem. See, and everyone hates history. Absolutely silly, the story behind the wars are worth something. Way to bring back the past in such a great form! :)

Teachers should use this in history books instead of just writing HUGE texts and at the end, there's no rela meaning behind the text... anyways, thought this was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!! awesum job... ROCK ON!
