The Tears

Without the tears
She would crumble
Without the tears
She would shatter to pieces

Silently the tears fall
From her broken eyes
Rolling down her pale cheeks
Dropping off her face.

The tears contain her hurt
Her anger and her sadness
The emotions she feels she
Cannot show in front of people

The tears that she cries
When she is alone
Allow her the strength
She needs to remain strong

The tears keep her world
From crashing down around her
They hold her tight and comfort her
When the world has shut her out

Without the tears
