Secret love...

by Jenna Balkin   May 30, 2006

I'm so sick of hearing love songs,
so sick of missing you...
I daydream of our future,
and I know that you do to...

I can see us running,
upon sun-soak en sands...
Bare feet and smiles of laughter,
and always hand in hand...

A picnic under shady tree's,
on a nice warm sunny day...
It's just you and me in our secret world,
far, far, away...

Swimming at the river,
on the rope, out we both swing...
A passionate kiss in the air,
before we let go and both fall in...

A night under the shiny stars,
you wrap your arms around me...
I feel so safe and warm with you.
on the branch of the old Oak tree...

But I guess I'll have to wait for you,
because these are only dreams...
Dreams are not reality,
and never what life seems...

So I'll keep pretending I don't miss you,
as much as I really do...
And when you come to me, we can show them...
We are in love,
and we will be happy to...

Wow this is so beautifully written, and heartbreaking.
I can see perfectly the image this poem conveys, and the misery you feel for all the longing and hoping.

One thing i shall point out is that the final word should 'too', not 'to'. Other than that its amazing and not one word should ever be altered.

    Well done.
