Lying

by Miss Megan   May 30, 2006

My cheeks turning crimson red,
My stomach filling with butterflies.
You don't know what you do to me,
Or all of the feelings I keep inside.

I find myself thinking of you,
More than I really should be.
My eyes always find your face,
I don't know what's come over me.

I promised myself this wouldn't happen,
That I wouldn't fall again.
All it does is start out happy,
Then always hurt in the end.

But you're different than the others,
You make me insecure and shy.
I don't know what to tell you,
And I'm afraid to hear your reply.

I wish I knew your feelings,
I wish I could read your mind.
So I knew just how to act,
So I knew what you wanted to find.

I want to tell you how I feel,
I want you to know the truth.
But I cant tell you just yet,
So maybe I'll just keep on lying to you.
