Fake skin

by kristen   May 30, 2006

Blood falls again
into the crevases of her heart
deep pools of crimson
drown her soul

her eyes they\'ve turned cold
her lips quiver with pain
inches from salvation
never seemed so far away

no one can see
the pain deep inside
she hides it so well
beneath her fake skin

smiles and laughter
all part of the act
\"but shes so popular\"
doesnt mean she cant hurt

whats wrong with this place
does no one know?
i will never be happy
and no one can tell

what you think cause im pretty
that im incapable of tears?
maybe you should know...
even the beautiful bleed

I can relate to this poem. You expressed very sad emotions through it, still it's beautifully written.
