Left Behind

by Kristina   May 30, 2006

All I have left of you,
Is the memories we shared,
The good times we had,
When you were still here.

I remember the night,
The night we first met,
We looked into each others eyes,
And love is what we found.

I thought I would be with you,
Forever till the end,
Right by each others side,
But then you left me behind.

I'm not sure if you really loved me,
Like you always said you did,
I think you were just lying,
Never really cared about me.

I agree with Sean Allen up there! Keep your head up!! You can only get left behind if you stop trying to keep up. nice poem.

This is sad, and it's really good. It kept my attention and has a good flow.

    Great job!

"We looked into each others eyes," should be others', to get the ownership concept across.

Moving on after the end of a relationship is something almost everyone has to go through. I don't know if the poem is still applicable, ie iono if this was a recent event, but if it was, I don't think you should worry too much, things will start moving again.
