We'll be perfect

He yelled,
and then he left today.
Tears were streaming down her face,
she begged him to stay.

She was crying,
and as he started to panic he started to yell,
he thought it was best to leave,
the look on her face nearly took him to hell.

He jumped in the car,
and flew out of site.
She nearly fell to her knees but didn't,
it took all of her might.

He choked back tears,
as he jumped in the car.
he stopped just around the corner,
and died knowing that she probably thought he went far.

She sat on the bed that was once 'their's',
she looked at everything,
especially where he would lay at night,
and felt more tears sting.

He could see her walk in the house from where he was in the car,
he wondered if she was still crying,
he felt his heart ripping ; inside he was dying.

She started to the door,
hoping he might back through it,
she grabbed a smoke and a lighter,
and as if magically it was lit.

He needed to go back and explain to her that he didn't want to go,
He drove in the drive way,
ever so slow.

She saw the car pull up,
and couldn't believe her eyes,
she dropped the smoke in excitement,
and couldn't keep in her happy cries.

He pulled her into his arms,
said "baby I could never leave you
I panicked when you started crying,
I love you so much, I didn't know what to do."

"Promise you'll never leave me,"
she said as she gave him a kiss,
because I'd die without you,
my one love, I'd always miss.

"I'll never leave," he answered,
"I'll love you always"
we'll be perfect,
even on the bad days."
