Does he like me too?

AJ, you confuse me, my heart and my mind,
You make the right words, very hard to find.
Itâ??s hard to say, if you like me or not,
Or whether you find me ugly or hot.

I remember one time, when I accused you of being mad,
He said, "no, I really like you! i mean you guys", looking sad.
I said, "ok then" and smiled and looked in my eyes,
And went to sing on stage, then came a surprise.

While he sang, in my eyes he stared and smiled,
I knew it was me, I smiled back, he laughed and smiled a mile.
The song "in your eyes" was sang directly to me,
Then after the show, he treated me like he didn't see.

At only one point in time, did he acknowledge I was around,
He saw me sitting alone, got closer, but sat on the ground.
He was going to sit with me I think, but his stupid friends,
Came and called him over to them, and our romance end.

My friend then did, what I somewhat asked her to do,
Took it a little to far, but hey, oh well it's done and through.
She said I adored him, and asked if he liked me too,
He said I was great, but "I don't want to hurt you"

She told him I was strong, but he didn't want to her it,
Said that he didn't want a girlfriend, but didn't break my spirit.
The other day, I saw him for the 1st time since then,
He came up and hugged me, as soon as I got out the van.

He talked to me, think he was going to ask for my number,
But my friend came up, and so did his band's drummer.
Said it was getting late, almost time to leave,
So we step outside, where there was finally enough room to breath.

He was going to ask me for my number again a little later,
I think he might've asked me out, but now claims he's not a dater.
He wanted to be in my car, but we ran out of room,
So I was forced to ride home, in the loud car of doom.

So, darling poets, what do you think?
Is this all in my head, just made up in a blink?
