The Light Still Shines

The Light Still Shines

The shadow of the lit candle dances across the table,

It's flame flows in the gentle wind wishing for it's soul to be released,

Yet it's trapped by the candle,

The room grows dark but the candle still shines bringing hope to the room with it's warm glow,

The night grows old as each hour fades into a dark nothingness,

As sunlight creeps into the abandoned room the new morning is born,

Yet the candle still shines,

With a small gasp of wind the perseverent light is blown away, I

It's soul is set free,

Free to dance on other tables.
