It sits today

by Lauren   Jun 1, 2006

Lonely is the heart today
Drifting away in the slow breeze
Softly the sorrow sways
As we gently come to our ease.

Dropping in silence dead
In the streets we lay
Loud and full is the bed
Of all hatred souls we pray.

Black songs come to us in one
And go away the same
Never to say it's all said and done
The song sinks in as Dane.

And now the clouds stay
Slowly drinking our souls
Gracefully it comes, this day
Never again, one as whole.

Alas the poison streams
into each vein painfully
Drinking away each dream
Sweet and cowardly.

As yet sits the lonely heart and black soul
TODAY!
