I will not fail you

Working to the bone,
Too weak to persist,
I cant take much more,
But you told me not to quit,

The image is a blur,
Close your eyes and breathe,
I can barely stand the pressure,
Fighting to stay on my feet,

Im choking down the tears,
They will not know that I am weak,
I cannot give up now,
You expect so much more from me,

My body is shaking in spazzems
But I cannot fail,
I will keep it together,
And maybe my strength will prevail,

But I cant take this anymore,
My body is seeking an escape,
Then I see you at the door,
And I feel a tiny boost of faith,

I will carry on in pain,
Because that is what you asked me to do,
It doesnt matter how it hurts,
As long as I have not failed you.
