Dusk of our love

by Milton Silva   Jun 1, 2006

Breathing…taking in this subtle sweet ocean breeze…
the sand…running along my pale skin...
I try to remember, but it’s now impossible
time has cast its long cloak over us
and what once was, it’s not anymore
We lay still, cold and helpless

Ruined…we are falling apart
as the chaos between ensues…
a memory remains, like a thorn…
digging further into the empty pieces
of what once was…what’s not anymore…
You have broken…the only true promise we ever made

Love…we had it all…
what came along between us…
I cannot grasp…you keep me far away
my last straws of life…I still give them to you
for all I want is what once was…to be once more again…

I have no doubt...this is my favourite!!:) The way that our senses interact with our thoughts truly fascinates me and you write very very well!:)

    Don't ever stop writing!!!***
