Me and Him

by Sam   Jun 1, 2006

Crying myself to sleep
For the third night in a row
Its the simple fact
I just cant let you go

I said I was sorry
I never meant it to turn out this way
But were attached by the heart
And I just cant go on living every day

To be viewed as the anti-Christ
In a world of sinners who think they're saints
And to paint pictures of un-realistic people
Of what you're trying to replace

Un-fit people
Who try to speak the truth
Making us walk an outline
And condemning our youth

Saying who we can and cant love
Its like taking away our air
Suffocating us
Then drowning our dreams
Hoping we wont care

Freedom is something we earned
From the moment we left the womb
We were born in this country to be free
Not born to be ruled by you

You should look at your reflection
Before you condemn mine
I'm the best thing thats happened to this boy
Since you cut him off your side

You need a little danger
A little laughter
Some mischief
Some fun
Not to be locked up inside
You're sheltering him from the world
And soon his time with you will be done

When he ventures out will he be prepared
Will he run his own life
Will he even care?
Will he survive when he takes the dive
Or will he fall

Face first hit the ground
You condemned him
You drug him down
