Fear Is The Heart Of Love

I'm scared of this feeling
I don't know what to do
I think I'm in love
And I hope its not true

She'll be going away again
And she did last time too
That's where she did it
And I had to start over new

I really want to trust her
But I'm too afraid to try
If I get too attached now
I'm afraid that I might die

The fear that burns inside me
Isn't a thing I can describe
It feels just like love
But makes me want to cry

If only she could prove her love
Maybe then I wouldn't be so scared
So maybe she could love me truly
And I wouldn't have to be prepared
