By Chance

A friend who’s there to be there

And when they’re not

You can’t think any more

Placing you in a place of substance

A place of unrecognizing

Unaware of what blessings might fall

Trapped in a love that’s weakens the body

But strengthens the soul

A bond so strong

None can compare

So mind boggling it makes no sense

And yet you like what you’ve got

Because it’s not something you fear

When you feel a place in your heart

Being fulfilled

A certain sadness corrupts your heart

But the bond is so strong

Crying can’t even start

Nothing this good ever comes by chance

People walk over you

And for some reason it feels good

They laugh at you and you never care

Tries to bring you down

But you just stand right back up

Where they pull you left

And you keep walking right

Try to put rainy days in your life

Too bad because I like rainy days

So there’s no strife

Thinking about your friend

And it makes you smile

You can’t help loving them

Because you love their style

What makes you click?

And what makes you hyper?

If you’re the poison

Then I’m your viper

If you’re the smile

Then I’m the teeth

You’re everything good to me

So you’re like whole wheat

When troubles, depression and misunderstanding come your way

Your friend is there no matter what

They say you work hard for something you want

And something that comes easy is often easily gone

Been through too much to let go

So sometimes when you appreciate let them know

Things happen and you don’t get a second chance

Thought I’d make it clear that what we have
