Eyes Wide Shut

Caught in a truth that was a lie

Nothing seems right so why didn’t I just die

My signal of hope and my shining star

I though I was free

But you had me locked away in your jelly jar of jelly

I loved you and haunted myself by your voice

I never tried getting another

Because to love you I had no choice

Caught in your captivity

And locked in your world

I swallowed the key

Because I thought you were my girl

Fooled, misguided and an idiot yes I was

You don’t know how you betrayed me

And I turned out to be everybody’s fool

My empty void you somehow filled it up

I didn’t need a wife

Because you were already filling my cup

Bled and cried for you

Now that it was all in vain

What am I suppose to do?

Accepted you as God’s gift

But you turned out to be my curse

I tried to study you so I took your coarse

Inside I died

And rose as something else

A truth that was such a lie

I kept saying

I can’t get her heart…but I can at least try

Ignored your truth

And embraced your lies

Thought what truth was actually a lie…. And lie was actually truth which means what I that was truth is now a lie and lie is now truth so what exactly is truth and lie because there’s no proof that what might be truth and lie now is actually the actual truth and lie
