Nothing left

by lauren   Jun 2, 2006

Eyes filled with nothing
No substance to embrace
She just sits there staring
With an empty look on her face.

It looks as if her hearts gone
Like it's been ripped out,
It looks like her soul has left
Filled her mind with doubt.

She has no feelings
Her emotions are almost gone
She once was pure and happy
But not for very long.

You see this girl was troubled
She had a bad child hood
Everyone she trusted
Were never the ones she should.

Her mother was a drunk
She use to beat her to a pulp,
Her daddy, well he touched her
Killing all her hope.

Her uncle was a druggy
He couldn't help her confide
So she was driven to do only one thing
Her own self-suicide.

One night she was lying in bed
Looking at the ceiling
She realized there was nothing left
And that she has no feeling.

So she went to the window and reached out
To the one who be named god,
She made a prayer hoping it would be fulfilled
It started with 'my lord'

'my lord will you help me
Seal up all the pain,
Just give me one excuse
Not to erase my existence and name.

I just need one reason
One reason to subside’
That night he never answered her
So she went through with suicide.

Her mother was the one to find her
Consumed in all her pain
She didn’t break down and cry
She just blocked it like it was a stain.

Her little baby girl
One of 15 years of age
Was lying in a puddle of blood
Broken free from her cage.

No one really knew
What went on behind the walls?
And the saddest thing about it
Was that no-one cared at all!
