I looked in the mirror,
& saw angel.
Not myself,
but someone else.
Someone sweet,
& smart.
Someone who doesn't fake smiles,
& doesn't put on layers on make-up.
I seen someone I could trust,
& love.
I watched out into the world,
& my same old friends greeted me happily.
I wore a real smile,
& I laughed my real laugh.
Then,
a tap on my shoulder,
& as I turned around,
I seen someone sweet & smart.
When I looked into his eyes,
I blushed.
The love of my life,
& his trustworthy face.
I knew the mirror was right,
& what I was seeing was what I wanted.
