The Night Is Long As Day

by Shery   Jun 2, 2006

The night is long as day.
The bond that can happen between two no words can explain.
So much can happen in so little time,
Overwhelming emotions can flutter the mind.
Listen to the heart that what they all say, but that can get one in trouble,
Next thing you know they greeting you happy mothers day.
Think twice before you commit an action my mom told me, sorry mom I didnâ??t listen to what you said to me.
Then your hear get broken, you left alone to cry.
Hate clutters the mind, but loneliness over takes, leaving you with a sour taste.
Itâ??s hard to fight a war, when you are fighting with your self; when your feelings are at stake.
So, listen to me once, listen to me twice, I took a shot at love and it hurt me inside.
The passion, the crude of life; I lived for a moment, that changed my life.
At that instance my worries were gone,
Little did I know they had just begun?
The headaches, the tears that I cried, whoâ??s going to give all back, that time is gone and never coming back.
Not once, but twice I was in despair,
By a man who claimed to love me through thick and through thin.
That promise was one the door, that promise he could never keep.
Now, I am here thinking of a time that was in my past, flashbacks coming back, clouding my mind. Thankfully, I thank God those times are gone, and he gave me love back.
