The sound of War

by Tainted Beauty   Jun 3, 2006

The crimson blood seeps through my clothes,
Like nothing Ive felt before,
The gun shots fired through my heart,
These are the things of war,

My comrades, dead,
Scattered upon the ground,
Their cries of agony and gun shots,
Are the only, painful sounds,

How I long for my home,
My land and family,
They say that we are heroes,
But I feel nothing but cowardly,

As I lay here dying,
I know it does not affect them,
As soon as I am gone,
They will just recruit more men.
