Heaven

by Renee Kotva   Jun 3, 2006

I wonder how it looks
that perfect misty place
with golden streets and sunflowers
everywhere you feel Gods grace

I wonder if I'll ever go
to heaven & see our promise land
to see the Fathers loving face
and hold Jesus' scarred hands

I long to hear angels singing
when I walk through the gates
to feel the brush of angel wings
and feel loved in this place

I long for when I reach the gates
when I won't feel so alone
have my savior & Lord next to me
and I can finally call this my home

Thank You for your comment, I cant even begin to explain how it means to me....I read alot of your poems, I have to say this is my favorite becuase i wonder the same thing. Knowing that my life could possibly be coming to its end, i wonder all the time whether God will say "Enter in my good and faithful servant," or "I Never Knew you." Please dont attept suicide, its people like you that give me the strength to fight this illness. You are very much needed on this earth. Enjoy life while you can!! **Continue writing poems, your great at it.**
