Fall to Winter

What makes the clouds go floating by?
Alas, what makes blue birds fly?
The sky so blue,
The grass so green,
The sun is glowing yellow.
The wind is blowing every so slight,
It is blowing with almost no might.
(The leaves don't even put up a fight)
They just take off, and have a nice flight.
Through the air the leaves do fly.
Flying ever so slowly by.
It's almost winter, and the leaves will die.
The birds are leaving their homes for a while,
They will travel much more than a mile,
(Some might even see the Nile)
While the Egyptians look at the sundial.
The bride and groom walk down the aisle.
Oh boy, what a lifestyle.
Off in the distance a child does play.
He kicks at a bird, and it flies away.
But the boy doesn't care it is Friday.
(His mom just came out and said, "That's not okay")
Oh, now what in the world would his father say.
Well, we'll never know because it is a workday.
Plus, he is out-of-town at Norway.
The boy was sent to time out.
He knows better than to kick about.
Now he has to miss the cookout.
The party was great,
The final cookout of the year.
Now the birds can't appear.
They are gone like the wind, and the leaves in the fall,
They are all gone, yes them all.
