Sleep

by Kyleene   Jun 3, 2006

One day seems like a whole year
I cannot wait for midnight, twelve o'clock
A whole new realm
A deep darkness much anticipated
Sleep will bring me closer to the time to see you
But there is one slight problem
I'm too hyped to lay my head down
I want to dance
Want to see you
I wonder what tomorrow will bring
An arguement, or more joy
Our love is so unpredictable
I think of all of these things
Waiting for sleep to overcome me
I look out the window, into the rain
Soon, I will see you there
As the moon shines ever so brightly
I see what looks like your familiar form in the light
Imagination and hope is not helping sleep come
Boy, how I miss you so
But if only for a few hours
I could sleep soundly
Tomorrow I can hear your voice
Smell your cologne
I think dreamily of these things
And slowly but surly,
I drift into peaceful, undisturbed sleep
