Despair

by Christy Trenholm Schmall   Jun 3, 2006

In deep dark delight
They meet
Longed lovers Lost in
Lust's demonic defeat

'Twas Venus' Venue
Twilight on Heath
'Twas her twisted path
took them swift took them sweet

Wind wet vile & cold
Yet they Did bear
In frozen tears Time stood still
Time stood bare

Din from Neptune's bluff
Howling On high Crashing
Waves washing away words
that matter not be they nigh.

In the midst of mayhem's mist
Lovers condemned to be
Forever Caught betwixt
dark destiny

The blood of a poets broken heart shows up well on the white page with words that show the cracks and depths of that wounded heart. Keep up the good works.

Very Impressive, Christy.I am so impressed as how you've grown as a poet over the years I've known you.Ilike the style and voice you chose to write this in.This is so eloquently written yet without losing the emotion of the meaning. You continue to impress me with the meaning and passion of your writing.
