True Loves Con

by Cristela Quiroz   Jun 3, 2006

In the beginning the relationship couldnt of been better,
switching hugs, smiles, and sweet love letters.

He'd take her places she's never been before,
and was always willing to open her door.

She was deeply in love and convinced he's the one,
she even thought of names for their future daughters and sons.

He buys her a ring and asks her to be his wife,
she says yes and is excited to be with him for the rest of her life.

Suddenly things start to go down hill,
She finds herself always crying but he doesn't seem to care how she feels.

After the damage has been done he apologizes and gives her a gift;
So her feeling will lift,
that way later he can bring them down again with another one of his hurtful fits.

She's too blind to see what going on,
to see that shes being taken granted of by a con.

A con who tricked her to thinking to thinking she was special,
she's strong but when it comes to him shes most vulnerable.

After he hurts her a new promise is made; followed by a lie,
she starts to notice this pattern and his words she no longer buys

She doesn't want to leave him because shes been with him for so long,
but she cant stay in this kind of relationship, its just all wrong.

She's so hurt now more than ever,
having to accept her "true love" was actually never.
