Child-like Innocence

by PygmyPuff   Jun 3, 2006

Dance so lightly,
With the faeries beneath your feet,
And smile.
Express the innocence in your heart.
A child I may be,
But naive I am not.

Banish your fear.
Be gone with the lies of the world.
Sweet giggles,
Outside in my sleeping gown tonight.
And I realize,
All is not lost.

Tip-toe softly,
Like raindrops on a blade of grass.
Twirl around.
Face the world through the eyes of a child.
I know who I am,
Who I'll never be.

Your a very good poet....it's a nice thought to believe you can still be innocent but i think to be innocent you have to also be very partially naive...

Outside in my sleeping gown tonight.
    And I realize,
    All is not lost.

that was my favorite line because it was like once you think about it and let yourself ignore all the bad things (which again means you have to be naive) but anyways, once you can ignore the bad things you realize this world isn't all bad and people and things can be good and happy
