For Him

by Beverly Chapman   Jun 4, 2006

Written approximately June 2003

The ink bottle full of blood
Turns scarlet the pale wood
She tried to save his life
But it was for no good
Now in her sorrow
She writes to him
In his blood
Remembering how she tried to save him
The regret is too much
Flashbacks of that dreadful night
They are haunting all her dreams
She just wants to make things right
She wants to be with him
The love of her life
Shes gon to the extremes
She grabs a kitchen knife
The intricate designs
Carved upon her wrists
There was nothing the paramedics could do
The knife still clenched in her fist
