What do i do
when the one i love
doesn't love me back
and has already hurt me

what do i do
when he leans in to kiss me
knowing that ill be hurt
and that it doesn't mean anything

what do i do
when i have already
proclaimed my love to him
more then once

what do i do
when he leads me on
and i feel like he is my world
but I'll be crushed

what do i do
when i spend all my time with him
hand in hand
arm in arm

what do i do
when he shows feelings for me
but can never seem to speak
or say what i want to hear

what do i do
when i have lost all hope
of ever being able to call him mine
but he his my other soul

what do i do
when i begin to lose myself
spiraling out of control
all because i love him

why is love so complicated
and why does it hurt so much
is it supposed to be like this
or am i just special

should i wait for him
knowing i could lose him
the only boy i have ever loved
the only boy i want

do i re- proclaim my love
again not for the first time
but second, third
is it now his turn

so i can know what love is
