The Moment

by gee gee   Jun 4, 2006

The Moment
Soft snow fell on her hair,
She smiled gently and then looked up at him,
Ever so handsome and kind
Then when all was quiet and still
The moment came
He leaned in closer toward her
Then froze like winter's ice
He was too afraid so he stood up straight
And let the moment slip by
The moment never came again
And when the seasons changed she left him
He sat there wondering
If he had just taken that moment
Would she have stayed?

Awww.. that is so sad and yet so sweet.. i loved the imagery in this, i could really see this couple in the snow.. this was filled with emotion, and flowed well, excellent work gee! :) there are a few site errors in it, but you can fix them by editing the poem! 5/5
