Life is Unfair

by LadyPearl   Jun 4, 2006

*Life is unfair is used at least once a day in the world.*

Think of a tree, strong and proud
Think of water that feeds this tree
Think of the sun that heats the earth
This is the life of you and me

Unlike nature, we take what we want
Not what we necessarily need
Like a bomb, this power we contain
Is enough to fill all evil deeds

Yes, life is unfair, that has been said
But do we dare face the nature of life
Do we dare go against thus dangerous course
No, we do what's best to survive

If life was fair, what challenge would be left
What pleasure would we feel in our dreams
Since everything you wanted is what you got
What knowledge would we redeem

This was an excellent poem with a good message! i love the bit about the tree, it really stands out! the only problems i found with this were ::

Yes, life is unfair, that have been said
^ in this line "have" should be "has"

    and

If life was fair, what challenge will be left
What pleasure will we feel in our dreams
Since everything you want is what you get
    What knowledge will we redeem
^ in this stanza, the tenses are wrong compared to the rest of the poem, so you should fix that..

all in all, excellent write! 5/5
