i lost my sister
who supposed to my best friend
my role model, my hero

because someone was drinking
because someone had a "bad day"
the thought that beer
would take it away

he didn't care that he killed
someone that Sunday morning
maybe he didn't realize what was lost

a sister lost a sister
a friend lost a friend
a mom lost her daughter
a dad too lost his daughter
a husband lost his wife
kids lost their mom
students lost their teacher
all because some one was drinking
