A perfect Love

by Bethan   Jun 4, 2006

It is a tale of old,
This tale of perfect love,
Where man and woman meet,
And one must give something up,

One must sacrifice,
So love may begin,
But why not to each other,
Something new they bring,

Why do they not compromise?
Find an even ground,
And then from this perspective,
True love may be found,

Rather than change each other,
And mould them to ideal,
Why not accept their faults,
So their feelings can be real,

Why not take each other,
As imperfect as they be,
And from their imperfections,
True beauty they may see,

Rather than have to suffer,
For a so-called perfect love,
Treasure what you have,
As a blessing from above.
