The 'perfect' life

We all want the 'perfect' life,
But how are we going to get it?
No one lives the 'perfect' life,
So why bother thinking we have it?

We want everything to be great,
Everything to be the best,
No mistakes, no faults,
Just a 'perfect' little, comfortable life.

We can try and try and get no where,
Because there's always going to be something,
Someone, somewhere that things go wrong.
Do we realize what harm WE, ourselves cause?

We think everything will be ok,
But when we think that; something bad happens shortly after.
We try and try and try,
But where do we get? No where.

No one will ever live this 'perfect' life we all strive for,
No one will ever experience it.
We all have different definitions of 'perfect',
But no one will ever live it like we all know it.

So why waste so much time trying to make it so good?
What we could be doing is making it better,
You don't need the best job and a great house,
All you need is love, support, and friends.

It doesn't matter who they are,
Where they live or how old they are,
As long as they are your friend..
You're living the 'perfect' life.

Money doesn't buy everything we need,
What we do is take for granted of what we have now,
And when we lose it; we realize how bad we want it back.
So why not figure it out now before we do lose it?

Take some time; think about what you have,
About how fast you can lose it, and take it for granted..
The joy and happiness of having loved ones,
Take some time to think.

You'd be surprised on how much you can gain,
From thinking about what you love.
The happy thoughts; not the sad ones,
These will put a smile on your face.
