Dont Think It Is You

by ~*ErYkUh*~   Feb 19, 2004

These tears that are running down my face
are not because of you my dear
you see the pain is still inside my heart
and it brings me so much fear.
Please don't ever think it is you
do not feel guilty about anything
you are the only one who keeps me in this world
although my heart still keeps aching.
You are not my big regret
you are not at all the one to blame,
and you are not the reason
why all this pain came.
Every time I look at you
and see you giving me a smile,
you give me so much strength
you make it all worth while.
I know that right now
you cannot understand why
although you come up to me and say
mommy please don't cry.
But one day you will be old enough
and I will be strong,
and then you will understand
what was wrong.
I will be able to explain to you
that your dad just ran away,
because I was only sixteen
when we found out that you were on the way.
But don't think I'm crying
because he left me so,
I'm crying because he missed the chance
to watch you grow.

You are such a gifted writer, I have just had my son, he is now 4 and a half months, me and his dad broke up when he was 2 months. Its the hardest job in the world, but the best thing is at the end of the day you can look at your baby and have the satisfaction of knowing that you are the reason he(or she) is growing up so perfectly and the reward of knowing that the person that they will grow up and be is because of you! So don't cry, smile, at the end of the day that precious baby is worth the heartache!
