The Good-bye Poem.

by HOLLYWOODxBANGBANG   Jun 6, 2006

**I will be editing later, i just jotted some stuff down so if it doesn't flow, that's why.**

Sitting in my room tonight, time fading passed.
Packing the boxes, it is time to say good-bye.
All of the memories, they dawn upon me.
The rusted photographs scattered across the floor.
Embroidered in my tears.
Each one takes me back to a different time.
A time when we said best friends, and knew it meant forever.
A time when we would drink our sorrows away, lost in the bottle.
A time when we would dance like nobody was watching; sing like nobody was listening.
A time where we didn't care what people thought about us.
A time when boys had cooties, and it was so much easier that way.
And I know that I can't say all I want say...
And have it mean all it could mean...
In a short letter to you.
But if I could, I'd take you by the hand.
Soar back in time to the better days.
Get lost up in our memories, replay them not just in our heads.
And I always knew that looking back on the tears would make me laugh;
But not in my wildest dreams would I have guessed...
That looking back on the laughs would make me cry.
We have grown together, we have learned together;
And we will continue to grow and to learn...
We will talk about our wildest dreams and our craziest adventures,
Every night on the phone; lost in time.
And for now, it is time to say good-bye;
One last embrace and I am gone.
Nothing left of me, but my memories, and my words.
Always remembering.
