The Wide Open Window

by TaWlIa   Jun 6, 2006

She sees the window
It's wide open
It's on the second floor
She walks inside
Into the room
There it is
It's wide open
She walks over to it
She stars down to the ground
Where she can see everything
Playing joyfully
She sees the animals
Playing chase
She smiles as she sees how happy they are
Right than and there
Time freezes
Memories of what she has done
Wrong
She feels as if her life was made up of
Wrong turns
When she knew which to really take
But she chose the wrong way
She thinks of ow much she regrets
Regrets all the things she has done
She can't take any of them back
But she sits there
And looks out the window
And tells herself
There is a way
TO take it all away
She walks up to the window
She gets a little closer
But she suddenly stops
Dead in her tracks
She's not ready
Maybe another time
