Goodbye, my love

by FaIlInGattemptsFoRhappiness   Jun 6, 2006

Taking a step away from protection
outside from where you kept me in confusion
left from where i used to seek comfort
confiding in a far away shelter
broken chains over, finished, freely unstrung
i fly from your hand, proud of my battle won
consideration left me at a dead end
finished off, twisted, bruised, and bent
ointment has healed me; for no more pain i feel
the novel has ceased, given me my sheild
I\'ve grown calises on my body; run with bleeding ankles and feet
ive shown you that i can handle; no defeat
you have me attention, but you wont have it for long
i have turned around, im getting up to run
i am stronger now, i no longer need you here
let go of my hand, im sick of you, my dear
hurt me, i wont feel it; cut me i wont bleed
the fluid drowning, pulling me under will finally recede
i am leaving you with not power left.
you laying on the floor.
I wont turn back.
i wont look at you; it to to walk out the door
Goodbye, my love, goodbye
love has caught me in a lie
Goodbye, my dear, goodbye
