A Lost Cause

by Shelby G.   Jun 6, 2006

Open your eyes now, child
Sorry about the chains
But you were going wild
Here, let me wipe off the blood
It'll burn if it gets in your eyes
Do you remember last night?
No? I'm not surprised

Not sure what happened, but you were crazed
I'd have probably helped you but I was dazed
You ripped the room apart, breaking all the glass
Punching holes in the walls, it all happened so fast
But it's OK, I understand
I mean, it's not like all this was planned
By the way, I cleaned up all your blood and vomit
You were crying and puking your guts out, you couldn't stop it
Oh, and don't try to talk, you lost your voice while screaming
You were pretty mad, seriously, you were steaming
I'm really not that mad, but this is the second time you did this
You were hurting yourself pretty bad, and broke both your fists
Please don't bottle this up inside
Because when you get like that I'm too scared to hide
And I get hurt too
Hence these bruises, black and blue
The doctors say your sick, you know
But I simply just can't let you go
Your a lost cause, but no regrets
Let's just move on and try to forget
