Goodbye

by *colorsofmylife*   Jun 6, 2006

I turned toward you yesterday
longing for love and affection
though the words from your lips simply say
the relationship would be onesided emotion
I cannot believe the looks
received from such a handsome face
shall I give in, instead turning to romance books
or manage my way through this lonesome race
Trudging along maybe I'll figure things out
I will take the time to recapture my love
climb the tallest mountain just to scream and shout
I'll get my wings back and fly with a dove
Someday I will end my sorrowful cry
and to you be able to say goodbye
