Father, Oh father

by Marsha Robertson   Jun 6, 2006

Father, oh father I cry out your name.
When you left all I could do was to take the blame.
Oh father, how could this be?
That uou my dad could have left me.
Father, Father its not the same without you.
Father, oh father if only you knew
Oh father, I know you hear my cries
I know its apart of life that everyone dies,
But I never knew it would happen so soon.
Look daddy, I look up and I think I saw your face starring down at me in the moon.
Come back Father, or send me a sign that your ok.
Without out you the sun is not shining and the skies are gray.
I love you oh father, just so you know
You departed from this world, but I dont want to let go.

    "That uou my dad could have left me."
    should be 'you' not 'uou'
    ~~~
    "Father, Father its not the same without you."
    "I know its apart of life that everyone dies,"
    it's needs an apostrophe
    ~~~
    "Look daddy, I look up and I think I saw your face starring down at me in the moon."
    should be 'staring' not 'starring'
    ~~~
    I liked the ending line a lot, the rhyme really made the end very conclusive feeling, and I thought the rhyming was unobtrusive in general.
    Wow. Great poem. Sadly the best poems always seem to be on sad topics. Sadness seems to be the most expressable Emotion. Thats probably why. Amazing.
