A Long Hidden Secret

by Neema   Jun 7, 2006

Written by a fifteen year old:

So, you asked me to write you a letter
Here's your letter
I wrote it to reveal the truth
The truth of my love for you

We met many years ago, and I started out shy
But the words you spoke grabbed my heart
The words you spoke took me by my heart
I was unable to move
I was blown away

Much like Cyrano, I keep my love for you quiet
I hide it beneath my black heart
Sometimes, bits and pieces of my secrets leak out
But when you speak, my heart trembles, revealing the truth
My love for you is unconditional, and will never die

Some say love dies out, and dies out quick
But, I can prove them wrong with my everlasting love for you
Some say love dies out, when people argue
We've argued, and my love for you is stronger than ever

My secret has been hidden for years
And it's being revealed in this poem
Because, when you ache and shed tears
Because, when you're in pain and your heart aches
Mine aches as well

So, you asked me to write you a letter
Here's your letter
I wrote it to reveal the truth
The truth of my love for you
