Truth Of Time

by manic moments   Jun 7, 2006

Time this is lost in me
The ticking sands are falling
Time that is to see
The ever-present future is calling

Time that heeds no memory
Lost minds of present
Time tells no story
The forgetting of a lost peasant

Time of emptiness
The ticking sands are gone
Time that is loneliness
The innocence that had shone

Time that leaves alone
The deserting of a civilization
Time that has not grown
How life brings devastation

Time that is alone
The wayward hands are moving
Time that is shone
The presents past is blooming

Time that is lost
In the books of centuries
Time that brings a cost
No time left for pleasantries

Time that is exceeding
Past the point that is today
Time that has me pleading
And good to betray

Time that is leaving
Behind is my childhood
Time that is my grieving
There is nothing good

Time that was yesterday
Understand the emptiness
Time that needs to pray
All this unwanted loneliness

Time that is happy
It gets everyone in the end
Time that is free
You are dead now, my friend
