My eyes flutter open
after a long nights sleep
He's already up
Standing by the window
Watching the sunrise
The soft glow of the rising sun
brings out his beautiful face
Making his long, pale blond hair gleam
He hasn't noticed I'm awake yet
so i silently crawl out of bed
and walk over to him
I'm at his side when he notices me
he smiles
and gathers me up in his arms
wrapping his arms around me
in his arms i feel safe and secure
like nothing could
possible harm me
i look out at the sunrise
"It's beautiful" i say breathlessly
"just like you" he answers sweetly
he pulls me close to his chest
"i love you"
he whispers softly in my ear
i smile
"I love you too" i whisper back
the sun has risen
we remain at the window
for just one more moment
Finally he lets go of me
until tomorrow
