Death's Diner

by JL   Jun 7, 2006

Soaked in mascara tears
Drenched in running liner
Sobbing from a broken heart
On the steps of a lonely diner

Chilled to the bone
Betrayed and unloved
Confused and angry
She's been beaten and shoved

Bleeding the pain
Through invisible wounds
Dying from torture
Everything is in ruins

Lips turning blue
Tears become ice
Skin long numb;
Hallucinations entice

Hidden far, far away
Only the steps of a lonely diner
No matter where people looked
They would never find her

The imagery created was ingenious for thispoem. Truly original with a clear message. I have often felt like I could be that lonely girl.
It was almost like I was reading a scene from a movie that is how lively your useof words were!!!!!!

    JL ...
I love these 2 lines , they say so much with such few words :
    Bleeding the pain
    Through invisible wounds

A very creative piece that speaks volumes with it's vivid painted pictures of words.
