Without Remorse

by butterfly ♥ kisses   Jun 8, 2006

Take back all our songs
And movies we shared on the couch.
Keep all the dinners you made me.
Those are memories I can do without

Take back all your kisses;
I no longer want to taste your lips.
Take back all those summer nights,
Something I no longer miss.

Take back your every embrace
And those early wake up calls.
Your voice rings no significance to me,
No significance at all.

I’m returning all those basketball games
Played on my front drive.
All those sweet words you provided
That revealed themselves as lies.

I’m giving back the foolishness
And regret you made me feel.
I will not mourn something
That was never even real.
