The Hopelessness Of Love

by RainbowSlider   Jun 8, 2006

The infestation of love starts small.
Just a little tiny spark of feeling.
Like an invisible spider it crawls.
Its attraction makes it appealing.

The spider crawls the vast net.
Invisibility makes it hard to detect.
It weaves and crosses without threat.
It spins a thread going further yet.

The spider reproduces into an entity.
It gets larger spreading as a disease.
It reaches with tentacles into infinity.
The spider touches everything with ease.

The spider turns into a monster consuming.
Still nothing can stop its eating.
No one notices the threat unassuming.
Eventually loves craves defeating.

We all become victims of love's abuse.
The Apocalypse of love opens it maw.
We find love enslaves us in its use.
Nothing is left cause love ate it all.

I love the use of a spider of love. The rhyme sceme was neat too, I can't usually rhyme more than a few words at a time! Congratz!
