Thanks for the Escape Route.

Well, I think I've spent way too many days locked away,
to not break free and celebrate our true love on this day.

I've been locked in the prison I built inside my heart
for far too long; scared to give you a my biggest part.

Well, on this day I'm going to step outside the me I created,
and I'm going to let that part of me become gray and faded.

In these past six months, you've done so much for me,
and now it's time I tried a little harder to become free.

It'll rough at the start, but I know you won't leave,
I can trust you to be there to hold me up; I believe.

You're the angel I always wanted; always dreamed of;
you're the one that I always hoped to find and love.

I thank you for all the rescue attempts you have made,
and your sacrifices won't be forgotten; they won't fade.

Because of you I feel no need to reach for my old knife,
and because of you, I feel such an improvement in my life.

I hope you recognize all the beautiful things you do for me,
that have helped me to my feet and helped me to be free.

Thank you angel, for this escape route I needed so badly.
It's only been six months, but look what you've done to me.

This is only the start; soon one year will be here,
and we will be even more in love, and happier, dear.
